How to Survive a Zombie Attack

This is my take after much research, and thought about how i will survive a zombie attack, Many of these plans have been in the making for years, and it is your privilege to know these key secrets.

WARNING: Reading this does not grantee that you will survive any zombie attack, honestly it depends on how much they want to eat your brains. But good luck to the few who will believe and prepare for the next zombie attack.

1)Please realize that zombies are already dead, and things like: Shooting, Hitting, Biting, Stabbing, and trowing things at them, will simply piss them off.

2)Zombies are highly unintelligent creatures, and have a hard time with things like doors and windows.

3)Though conventional killing methods are usually ineffective, keeping a guillotine at hand is a good idea, because it is the fastest way to dismember body parts.

4)Zombies are not fast, and things like large vans tend to smash them quite well.

5) If you keep a supply of essentials you may be able to survive by trading key items with other zombie attack survivors.

These are just a few basics, if you would like to see my completed works please see me.

And please remember all they want to do is eat your brains.

Book Review: Glass Houses (Morganville vampire series)

YAY! it is once again time for a lovely book review. Since it takes too long to talk about my life i will simply talk about the lives of all of the characters that i know and love.
This book was suggested to me by my book loving friend Kinzie, we love her greatly and thank her for the borrowings of many many books!
When I first started to love reading it was all about the romance(nothing scanky) just 'oh they fall in love' aka 'Twilight', but now as i am becoming a more experienced reader the action and plot matter more and more.(you will see what I'm talking about in a minuet)

Glass houses is a book about a girl who moves too a college town and is unfortunately bullied to the point that she is no longer safe where she is.(It's really hard not to give away this plot!)The rest of the book is about her coping in the town, and obviously there is a struggle which i can not tell you.
What i loved most about this book is it was all survival, finding out peoples secrets, surprise, and ambush. In short no romance for a good half of the book, I really loved this because it let the characters develop for themselves before they were tied too strongly to anyone else. And in the end you didn't even know what was going on romantically between anyone. It was in short great! However since this is a series the author obviously wants you to read the next book, and she wrote the perfect ending to grab your attention, and desperately need to get your hands on the next book so that you can find out what happens.
Rachel Caine (the author) is one of the best YA authors i have read, she kept me on the edge of my seat and didn't play on teenagers hormones to get readers, she knows how to write. Simple.

Hard to give stars.... It's on my buy list though!

California Trip!

Well I decided to go to California for a week and live with my aunt and uncle, and it was so awesome, we got to do alot of things that are more local than the places that all the tourists go, it was so awesome! While i was there we: Took amazing picture at a cute park, got our nails done, did a lot of shopping (mostly at the grocery store),went to 'soak city', went to the 'la jolla beach', tryed 'gelato' (Italian ice cream), had a picnic, tryed to start a boat and failed, went to the farmers market, played games, went to a luau, had a 'cupcake wars', did an 'iron chef', tryed different Chinese, Greek, and Indian food (yum!), went to avocado land, watched movies, slept in, did scrapbooking, and went home. not to mention the lovely ordeal at the airport. All in all it was a fantastic trip, and I hope that i will be able to go back soon! Here are some pics of the awesome things that we did!

Toy Story 3, and getting a dress

Several weeks ago me and my cousin went and saw toy story 3.... in 3D. It was pretty awesome. I do hate that these franchises keep on going back to the storys that were done years ago, just so that they can make more money, but i did realy like this movie. It had a depressing edge to it, but it ended with real closure, and it was so sweet, I just loved it!

(And no we are not retards trying to get the 3 in, there was a trash can in between us hehehe.)

After we saw toy story 3 we walked over to the mall, and to JC penneys to get erika a dress, she tried on alot of cute things but ended up getting this number.

All in all it was a really fun day, and i got a pretty ring, sorry no picture :P

Aprons

For awhile I have been teaching my Aunt Jill how to sew, and as i had a free day I wanted to make something with her. I got this idea from one of my previous young women leaders. She has made these cute aprons for her girls, and I figured me and my aunt could make them for her girls Isabelle, and Hailey.

We began by looking through her girls old clothes for a pair of coveralls (to use for the top), We found a pair, and cut off the straps and the pant legs, we then had each of the girls choose which fabrics they wanted on their aprons. Instead of doing any seams, we just zig-zagged the edges of each piece of fabric, and the apron top.

******WARNING NO REAL MEASUREMENTS WERE USED IN THE MAKING OF THESE APRONS********

After everything was zig-zagged we used a basing stitch (the longest one) along the edge of the strips, and bunched it all up so it was gathered, we then sewed everything together, and had the gathered seams showing for a craftier look, we basically bunched everything so that it it together, and believe me it did not look too good on the back!, last thing we did is I brought each of the girls names embroidered on a piece of white fabric, we had them put them where they wanted and then just zig-zagged around their names..... most amazing part was i had this much thread left when we finished (no lie).

Best thing was these aprons cost no money, we just used old coveralls, strips of fabric from previous things, and a spool of pink thread that I found!

Book Review: Rebel Angels

YAY! So this is my first book review on here, cause it took me a long time to finish this book, but books are so much better than movies (WARNING: here comes my I love books lecture if you do not want to be educated please skip to the next paragraph.) The reason I find books so amazing is because I must have a very active imagination, because as long as you have just a little detail in the book, your mind can bring the book to life by imagining the characters yourself which makes the book more personal, which in turn makes books just better and awesome!

Anyway rebel angels is the second book in the series by Libba Bray, the first book being 'a great and terrible beauty' and the last being 'The sweet far thing'. This book was very well written and takes you back so that you too are living at Spence Academy, and taking holiday in London. This book brought such insight into how the people lived back in the 17 and 18 hundreds, that besides just being a good story it was also informational on the human life in that time. This story is so captivating that to put it down in reading is almost a scandal ;) I absolutely loved the story and the characters. Though if you read in between the lines you can tell what will happen the unexpected suspense will be sure to keep you reading.
I would gladly give this book 3 3/4 stars.

For more information on this book you can visit www.bn.com (barns and noble) and search rebel angels.

Movie? review: Jeff Dunham Spark of Insanity

Well I technicaly don't know if this is even a movie, but I would still like to give my opinion. For those of you who don't know Jeff Dunham is a Ventrilaquist, or he makes puppets talk. This show is very hilarious, and well done. though I would put an age limit on it (pg-13) because of the use of some vulgar language, and dirty jokes. The first time I watched this I nearly lost my voice because I had been laughing so hard. Though I can't rate it the same as a movie as far a comedy goes this show gets a solid 4 stars.

Movie Review: Leap year

Well I decided to rent Leap Year, thinking 'I know the whole plot of this movie, she proposes to him on Leap Day.' WRONG, the plot was alot more complex, and my mom loved this movie so much that it is now in the Wheeler family movie library. This movie was an exiting and topsy-turvy romance,Where you really don't know what will come next. Granted with being a romance there was almost 0 action, so not a movie for guys, as much as gall's. But there to make it all were the hillarious old men, and an undertheme of 60 seconds. You'll all have to watch it to find out. Girl rating 4 1/2 stars. Guy rating 2 1/2 stars.

Movie Review: One good man

My dad rented this movie and we watched it together, it was a great movie, with a definite LDS theme to it. It was a great movie to watch on a sunday, and through most of the movie you can be touched by his wanting to do what is best for everyone, whether that be working hard so that less people can be let down in the company or serving with a smile. It was amazing to see the sacrifice that the main character Aaron Young, had to give, and the amazing happieness that he recieved. Over all the Actors were wonderful, the plot well rounded My only compaint was that one of the characters (Amanda) was slightly underdeveloped. I would give this movie 4 1/2 strars, a definite must see!
See trailer at:(might look wrong, but it is the righ one!)

An uneventfull day?

Well here's to thinking that every day will be an uneventfull one. Yesterday in the process of making my blog I went over to 'Stacie's' house and she helped me put music on. This is where I discovered that her little baby 'Ellie' hates me with a firey passion. Poor little Ellie couldn't even look at me without screaming and crying, it was one of the most hillarious things I have ever seen. After this lovely experience I went to YW and we went up adams canyon for a hike, it really was rather uneventful, I fell a little behind but the gorgeous waterfall was all worth it in the end. The hike back down wasn't too bad, untill disaster struck, and I tripped, but not to worry there was only blood and sweat, no tears. It ends up that I sprained my ankle, scratched up my leg, and my knee looks like I shoved it into a meat grinder. But if anyone asks, a bear tried to eat me!

Pretty aint it ;)Oh, and to top that off, I ripped my pants too!

Starting out!

I've been thinking about starting a blog for a while now. So now durring my oh, so boring summer I figured that sooner is better than later. I'm sure this blog will have snidbits about my life and other juicy little details, but i will also use it as a critique-ing place for the many book I have read and will be reading in the future, It is also sure to have movie/musical/play reviews that I believe are important enough to tell the whole world about! And no doubt it will be home of the run on sentances!
